Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)
We are looking for a designer to develop the mechanical design of our fruit and vegetable sorting lines, working closely with production.
What you will do
- Mechanical design of conveyors, sorters, brushing, drying and packing units
- Part, assembly and drawing production in SolidWorks
- Design for sheet metal, profile and machined manufacturing; material and fastener selection
- Line layout planning for the customer site and integration into existing lines
- Prototype work with the production and assembly teams, revisions based on field feedback
- Technical documentation and spare part lists
What we are looking for
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical/Mechatronics Technology
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks parts, assemblies and drawings
- Technical drawing, GD&T and tolerancing knowledge
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication (laser, press brake) and welded structures
- Awareness of hygienic design for food-contact equipment is an advantage
- Technical English, reading and writing
Nice to have
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM or a similar product data management system
- Advanced use of the Sheet Metal and Weldment modules
- Experience in food processing, packaging or agricultural machinery
- AutoCAD for 2D layout drawings
