Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies we use on tarend.com and for what purposes.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. This site also uses your browser’s local storage; although technically different from a cookie, it is subject to the same privacy rules and is covered together here.
The records we use fall into two groups: first-party (set by tarend.com) and third-party (set by another domain, such as YouTube).
Which cookies do we use?
No record other than the strictly necessary ones is created before you consent. Until you consent, no request is sent to YouTube — not even video thumbnails are loaded.
| Category | Purpose | Used on this site |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary cookies | Required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. Security, language selection, storing your cookie choice and the spare parts cart depend on them. They are not used for profiling. | tarend-consent (your cookie choice), tarend-cart (cart) |
| Preference / functionality cookies | Remember your settings for your next visit. If switched off the site still works, your preferences simply are not remembered. | tarend-lang (language preference) |
| Performance / statistics cookies | Let us measure which pages are visited and how the site is used, anonymously and in aggregate. Used to improve the site. | No measurement tool is active at present. Google Analytics, if added, will be tied to this category. |
| Marketing / third-party content | Enables YouTube video content to be shown inside the page. When enabled, your browser connects to YouTube servers and YouTube may set its own cookies. While disabled, no video request is sent. | YouTube embedded player and thumbnails (youtube-nocookie.com, i.ytimg.com) |
How to withdraw your consent
Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer to change or fully withdraw your preferences at any time. Your consent is stored for 12 months; you will be asked again after that period or whenever this policy changes.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site (language memory, spare parts cart) may then not work as expected.
Third-party content
The site contains video content hosted on YouTube. It is embedded through the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain and loads only after you consent to the “Marketing / third-party content” category. Once loaded, YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) can see your IP address and may set its own cookies. YouTube’s data processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy and is outside Tarend’s control.
Fonts. The site loads fonts from its own server first. When the local font files are present, no request is sent to Google. Only if the local files are missing does it fall back to Google Fonts; in that case Google sets no cookie but your IP address is transmitted to Google.
